Zelda screens for upcoming Smash Bros. Dojo game released

Zelda’s page is up at the Smash Bros. Dojo site and she’s looking good!

Zelda v. Pitt

Just like Link, Zelda’s design has also changed.
She has a slightly more subdued color scheme.

Her movement capabilities are not that good, but her magic adds power to her physical attacks. There’s a reason why her hands and feet glow, after all.

We’ll see how she fights: It looks like she doesn’t have any ranged attacks (despite the fact she’s used a bow in the last two console titles), and if her movement isn’t that great, she looks like, again, she’ll only be accessible to play from people who really, REALLY invest in getting good with her. After all, it’s hard to get off your magic glowy power hands when people are lobbing bombs and arrows at you from a safe distance.

I’m really glad that Zelda is updated with her Twilight Princess look. How refreshing to have a brunette princess for a change!

I sort of hope that there’s an option to unlock cell-shaded Link and Zelda — after all, by the time Dojo is released, Phantom Hourglass will be on its way to the DS.
